2013 Gala Record Breaking Attendance and Raises over $210,000 for NCMC Cancer Institute
The 24th annual NCMC Foundation Gala, “Indian Bazaar”, presented by Noble Energy at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Loveland on January 26, 2013 was a record setting event with 630 guests in attendance and over $210,000 to support the NCMC Cancer Institute expansion project at North Colorado Medical Center.
In what has become one of the top special event fund raisers in northern Colorado, guests were treated to Indian style cuisine and specialty drinks, the opportunity to bid on more than 90 one-of-a-kind silent auction items including box seat tickets at premiere sporting events, plane and helicopter rides, spa packages, artwork, One Direction – World Tour tickets and much more. Entertainment highlights of “Indian Bazaar” included traditional and Bollywood dance performances by Mudra Dance Studio and Colorado Dance Sport, traditional sitar player, drummer and Indian vocalist, Henna artist; the always popular casino-style gaming tables and music for dancing led by the Jerry Barnett Xperience featuring Bollywood Nights. One lucky guest was chosen as the winner of a stunning 14K white gold fashion bracelet with oval shaped aqua marine gem stones and round diamonds valued at $2,500 courtesy of Weiss Jewelers of Greeley.
In addition to raising funds to support the NCMC Cancer Institute, the event serves to honor an outstanding individual or organization for distinguished service and leadership in healthcare in our community. This year’s recipient of the NCMC Foundation Legacy Award, Knights of Swallows, is a generous oil and gas related charitable group dating back to 1991. Through the years, they have contributed over $300,000 to the Western States Burn Center through their annual golf tournament fundraiser.
